Building Inspection
The Village of Marshall's building and zoning inspection service is provided by SAFEBuilt.
Building permits are required for:
- All New Structures:
- Homes:
- Pools
- Garages
- Decks
- Fences
- Sheds
- Repair and Remodeling Jobs
- All Projects Involving:
- Heating
- Air Conditioning
- Plumbing
- Electrical Systems
* If you're unsure whether or not you need a permit, please call and check with the building inspector.
* Fees are doubled if you fail to get a permit.
Building permit applications can be obtained at: Village Clerk's Office. After completing the application, you must bring it to the Village Clerk's office for processing. The Building Inspector will review the application, determine fees, and issue the permit upon approval of the application.
Construction businesses working under Wisconsin codes
(commercial building, uniform dwelling, electrical, plumbing, and swimming pools)
Need a Building Contractor who holds a registration issued by S&B, unless the company already holds one of nine other contractor credentials issued by the division. The registration is for businesses, including one-person businesses, not for individual employees.
